It’s Corporate … It’s Corporate brainwashing. Watch Fox news and it’s very clear. They will have a segment filled with propaganda and lies about Canada’s system, then the first commercial after the segment is by an Insurance company. Insurance companies are funding the brainwash campaign, the sad thing is, your average American falls for it.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video!!

She’s hooot! :) she … She’s hooot! :) she looks a lil Indian to me!

our health care is … our health care is awesome ty tommy douglas. america should get with the other western countries and do something about there health care they don’t have to have an exact copy of other countries health care just take parts of what they think would suit them

The average … The average American and i think the average Canadian can amortize a $100,000 health-care bill. As long as we will have this debate we should use the facts correct.

    BTW hospitals will give terms.

I won’t disagree w/ … I won’t disagree w/ U but just imagine if we could somehow unite all those 100 million people who either don’t vote at all or just vote during a Pres. election. That would be enough votes to elect the politicians WE want and who will change the status quo. Then we could use the electoral college to work for us and beat the powers that be at their own game. But 1st we must find a way to galvanize these non-voters but I honestly believe it is possible. Won’t U join us?

The Electoral … The Electoral College, which is not required to vote as their constituents do, renders our votes powerless. The corporate financed news media intentionally polarizes the masses to keep us arguing with each other. The powers that be march along free to do as they wish, and very few people get it. Too lazy to learn for themselves, the masses quote news bites from TV as if they were facts. I wish we could change it, but we have lost control of our country and people are too polarized to fix it.

My friend, I … My friend, I understand your frustration but rather than move away, it would be better for you to stay and help us fight to make things better. And yes, we can make things better and one way to do it is we need to stop voting for the same 2 parties that have caused this problem and find alternatives (yes, they are out there). All of us, especially those who don’t vote, must come together and change the system. Yes, we can do it.

I think one reason … I think one reason this is the case is because too many Americans equate “socialized medicine” with “socialism” which they believe runs contrary to religious teachings. How many times have we heard someone call Obama a “Communist” because of his health reforms. Religion itself is not the problem; it’s how people practice and interpret it that’s the problem.

I think my fellow … I think my fellow Americans are uninformed and brainwashed by big insurance companies into believing that universal health care is a bad thing. It is only bad for the profit margins of the greedy insurance companies which now get rich from the suffering and lack of education of the American public. It is sad. I’d love to move to Canada. Before some pseudo patriot calls me a traitor, your lack of education and blind allegiance to a government not of the people makes you the traitor, not me.

I always find it … I always find it ironic that the U.S. – the most religious industrialized country in the Western world with the most churches per capita – is the one that advocates the preservation of personal wealth at the cost of people’s lives. If this is what religious influence engenders, I can see no better argument for the secularization of the world.

I thought i posted … I thought i posted this already, but wars of aggression violate international law. look it up

What? They don’t … What? They don’t pay taxes in the US? Guess what… they pay almost as much as Canadians! But look at what every man/woman/child pays on average for total health care in Canada: $3895 and for the US: $7290 – (OECD figures for 2009). And yet there are still 46 million americans with NO coverage at all.

illegally? I’m … illegally? I’m sorry the senate and house voted and astounding 98-1 that we will invade Iraq/Afghanistan. So in the eyes of the ‘Law’ it wasn’t illegal.

  16. icaru34

what about roads … what about roads and bridges? What about Fire, Police and Ambulance services? What about education and other social services? Most importantly, if the government had not dictated how tax money was spent, the internet would had been seriously crippled as large amounts of taxpayer money went into the construction of its infrastructure. As for the whole “government dictates” spiel, well, the government already dictates a lot of stuff, like whether or not you are protected by the first amendment

  17. icaru34

what about … what about unilaterally and illegally invading other countries?

  18. Swidhelm

The government … The government doesn’t dictate what treatments you can or cannot get, your doctor does. Government doesn’t come into the picture here in Canada. If I need some kind of special treatment for something my doctor will see it done, plain and simple. Waiting lists suck, but so does bankruptcy.

I’d like to … I’d like to apologize for my fellow Americans who have called you names on here. Especially those that called you stupid, but still misspelled words from a third grade vocabulary list. Regardless, I still find the this video laughable. it is dripping with so much ignorance that I don’t even know where to begin. Please, educate yourself on the issue before trying to speak about it publicly.

  20. CoreyMunns

Wealthy Americans … Wealthy Americans already pay 85% of taxes.

  21. MrChesterarthur08

Also, your … Also, your education was paid for by others as were many other services. And HMOs deny you your choice of doctor. I know because I was once part of an HMO that gave me a list of doctors and we were told that if our regular doctor was not on the list, we could not use him/her. So what’s the difference?

  22. MrChesterarthur08

Where in the … Where in the Constitution is socialism forbidden?

  23. bxfi420

what do i think? i … what do i think? i think your a stupid cunt. get a job and pay for your own health care you lazy ass. i dont give a about your family or friends or if you or they need help… WORK WORK! you sound like a illegal alien with your sympathetic rant!

  24. tomasu42

Helping others is a … Helping others is a good thing. Forcing people to help others at the point of a gun, is not.

  25. lasko1965

Socialism is not a … Socialism is not a part of America and until the day I die, I will fight against it. We have a Constiution that forbids Socialism.

Your health care is paid for by others and the government will dictate what you get and what you will not. You are young now but wait until you get much older.
