Is there a condition where a woman releases an egg during her cycle, and it does not make it out of the felopian tube, but gets trapped? I’m not talking about an egg that has been fertilized by sperm, I’m just talking about an egg that gets off course and is trapped in one of the ovaries.
If that is possible, what would be likely symptoms? Would that show up in blood work as an infection? Would you be able to see that on a vaginal ultra sound?
