How to take good care of Rabbit – Rabbit Care Tips?

I got a brand new rabbit and I have no idea what do do and how to take care of it
Can anyone give me some health care tips!
Including things like:
Food – Proper diet
Vet – Expenses – £ -
Abnormal Behavior
Normal Poop and Pee
and Housing and Toys:)

I just had it and it’s poop is weird , one time it goes soft and next hour it’s hard
Thanks :]

1.If you go to the petstore you got him from and just get "rabbit grainj/pellets" then that will be fine for nutrients. If you want to give him treats I would suggest carrots, apples, grass, apple tree branches to chew on. You can give a rabbit pretty much any vegetable but iceberg lettuce because that makes rabbits extremely sick. And remember not to give too many treats at a time! One babycarrot is the perfect treat for a day.
2.Most rabbits don’t need vets unless you are going to show it. Then it will need shots and possibly a tattoo and even then, because it is so small, it won’t be too expensive.
3.Rabbits can be pretty hyper animals like for example, at night it might run around its cage for hours just for exercise..or because its bored. But during the day it might lay down on its side and soak up the sun. Just get used to whats "normal" for your rabbit and then if you see him doing something odd, call a vet.
4.Rabbit poop is like little round marbles (suppose to be) If a rabbit has diarrhea, stop giving them treats for a while and if it doesn’t stop, take it to a vet.
5.For a rabbit cage, make sure it is at least 4 times the size of the rabbit..but the bigger the cage the better. If you have a small cage, you should get a run so you can let it out and run around. Rabbits don’t need toys. The only thing I put in my rabbit cages are salt licks, litter boxes, wood shavings and food and water. That is all they need. You can buy little houses that they can chew on for entertainment if you’d like. Good luck and have fun with the new pet!

whichever pet food he had in the store or where you got it from, thats what you should feed him for the first few weeks hes with you, then if you want to change its diet do it gradually per week, only add a little bit of the new feed each time, til its all of the new feed (if you want to change it). if you bought him from a store, he would be used to being inside, if you want to keep him outside, adjust it gradually, take him into the outside cage for an hour the first day, and 2 hours the next day and so on. as for vets, it should be about the same price at the vet for a cat or small dog, unless you go to a specialist, most pet shops offer advice on health concerns anyway. if he starts losing hair, or his teeth grow a funny way, take him to a vet straight away. poop and wee can vary between breeds but usually its a round greenish brown ball that if it gets crushed it will turn powdery. if its soft, dont panic, it might just be the change of diet. and as for cages, one that it will be able to stand up and stretch in, and it should have wood shavings or hay in there. i think thats it really.

    hope it helps!

I am not an expert on bunnies but i own four so i will tell you what i do for them.
I have two out door rabbits and i normally give them each about a half cup of food a day. mind you they waste a lot of it. Also fresh veggies everyday! I do not feed them hay every day due that’s what there bedding is. But bunnies do need hay, or any type of grass mine even love the grass and wild flowers that grow around my home. Also need pellets and fresh veggies everyday. A salt lick would also come in handy. Around were i live its a small town, so finding a vet to work on a rabbit is hard and when i did find one there rather expensive. But if you keep a good eye on your rabbit you might not have to bring it in. I have had my outdoor Mini Rex rabbit for 2 years and she has never had to go in. My two indoor rabbits i feed the same as my outdoor. The cage you keep them in should be 5 times bigger then the rabbit itself. Rabbits like to have a little hutch they can sleep in. Mine don’t really play with toys, but when they do, i find there favorite is cat toys the little plastic ones that make noise. Its hard to tell you about abnormal behavior not knowing your rabbit. Just get used to its personality and if something suddenly changes there might be something wrong. As for the soft poop and hard poop, my rabbits were doing that too, until i started giving them there proper diet. But watch so you don’t make your rabbit obese. Hope this helps just a little.

don’t feed fruit and vegetable to a rabbit younger than 6 months old.
    hay every day
rabbit pellets every day depending on the size of the rabbit 1/4 to a cup a day.
salt and mineral spool only if you don’t feed pellets.
    fresh water every day.
rabbits teeth never stops growing. get wood blocks for the rabbit to chew on you can get lumber from a lumber company.don’t use pressure treated wood or paint it. you can have them to cut the wood to the size you want.
clean the cage one time a week.
don’t give a rabbit a bath you can get animal wipe and wipe the rabbit down.
a rabbit has two kinds of poop, the hard round type and the kind that looks like soft grapes.both kinds of poop is normal. the rabbit will eat the soft kind.
rabbits can have reddish and white pee and this is normal.
